Creating A Great Web Page

The Page Title is usually the first thing that you see on a website. It stands out the most and therefore that will be the first thing that the visitor sees. Based on that, the visitor can decide to read further or go on to the next thing. So what you want to do is to make your page title as descriptive as possible. Make sure that it explains about the page.

The content of your web page has to be gripping. You have to be able to capture their attention and get them to see why they should keep reading. Does it provide important information? You have to be able to satisfy what they are looking for otherwise they won't come back.

Page length is an issue that you have to try to determine. You do not want it to be too long to the point where someone will not want to keep reading. You also don't want it to be too short where there is not enough content to keep the reader. You have to decide based on the message that you want to get out to your visitors.

Images are another aspect that you want to concentrate on. First thing is size, so you want to have the picture at 12KB or smaller. Make sure that the picture pertains to the subject at hand. You also want to be able to let the visitor click on the image if they want a bigger better view.

Links are very important to a web page because it allows for the reader to click onto additional useful information. Make links to have a good brief description of what they are actually clicking into, instead of just "click here." People will go to links if they find it worthwhile. Also just another point, make sure that your links actually work. There is nothing worse than a reader clicking onto a link that goes to nowhere.

There are also a few last things that you definitely want to consider. Make sure you add a section that allows for feedback. You want to take comments and suggestions made by the visitors to better improve your website.

Updates are very important because it will give off a better impression to the visitor. They will see that you are constantly updating your website and providing new and current information. It builds for credibility to your website. Speaking of credibility, lastly, you want to make sure that there are correct spellings and grammar. There is nothing more turning off then misspelled words
and incorrect grammar. Make sure that you rectify those problems so that you can be presented professionally.
